We're football crazy, football mad...
allpay.net has agreed a 30-year sponsorship deal to name the new Westfields Football Club ground, allpay.park.
This is great news for top Hereford football club, Westfields F.C. who were West Midlands League Champions last season and gained promotion to the Midland Football Alliance this year.
Chief Executive of Westfields, Andy Morris (pictured right with allpay.net's Managing Director and Founder, Tony Killeen) explained they have been looking to secure sponsorship for the name of their new ground since they completed the development in December. The newly named allpay.park has taken its inspiration from such Premiership clubs as Leicester City who have the Walker Stadium, Blackburn Rovers with the JJB Stadium and Bolton Wanderers with the Reebok Stadium.
Mr Morris feels that the new agreement has great benefits for both parties:
"When we took on the 30-year lease of the ground from our landlords, Hereford Sixth Form College, the ground was referred to as Moor House but this had no specific relationship to Westfields F.C. I saw this as an opportunity to christen the facility with a prominent name that the public would remember."
"What makes this partnership with allpay.net such a great idea is that we can help create a high profile for a local, successful enterprise through the name allpay.park while they will invest in the club to assure a prosperous future for both Westfields F.C and local community football in general."
Hereford Sixth Form College still uses the allpay.park facilities on a Wednesday for their representative games against nationwide sport colleges. Westfields operates seven teams themselves ranging from mini soccer at Under 8s and Under 10s level right through to junior, youth and senior level. So the financial rewards of this local partnership will be put make an invaluable contribution to football players of all ages throughout the county.
Tony Killeen, allpay.net's Managing Director, expressed his own views, "As our company is growing extensively we want to give something back to the community in which we operate, Andrew came to me with the idea of supporting Westfields and things have gone forward from there. It is important to us that we get our name known locally to inform the public that this is a Hereford-based business and sponsoring Westfields ground will give us this opportunity."
The allpay.park name will soon be recognised nationwide as Westfields F.C are in the Midland Football Alliance, whose teams are spread over six counties and from 2004-5 season will be appearing in the F.A. Cup.
